Academic Interests:

I am in the medical education track, and am bringing that together with my work in health equity and social justice. My biggest project right now is creating a longitudinal multidisciplinary Discussing Anti-Racist Care and Equity in Emergency Medicine (DARE-EM) curriculum in collaboration with the EM department. Over the course of my first year, I completed the Brown Advocates for Social Change and Equity (BASCE) fellowship.

Why I love PEM at Brown

The faculty and my co-fellows are all such great, individual personalities and I love hanging with all of them. It makes going in for my shifts extra fun. I also love that I can have a niche academic interest and be completely supported and given the tools I need to pursue it.

Why I love Rhode Island

Providence truly is a secret great city! And that’s coming from a New Yorker. It’s the perfect size for me and my young-children-including family, has plenty of food and culture, has an active LGBT community, and has enough beaches and nature to keep us outdoors while appropriately social-distanced.
