Why I love PEM at Brown

I feel fortunate to be training at a large pediatric hospital with a high-volume emergency department that is truly centered around the care of children. Every aspect of the environment reflects pediatric expertise—from the nurses, who are exceptionally skilled in working with children, to the many non-physician and non-nursing team members, such as pharmacists and respiratory therapists, who play vital roles in delivering comprehensive care. The attending physicians are warm, approachable, and each bring a unique perspective that has broadened my own clinical approach. I’m confident that the depth and diversity of training here will prepare me well for the next stage of my career.

Why I love Rhode Island

Growing up in New England gave me an appreciation for easy access to the coast, especially during the warm summer months! I love how central Rhode Island feels - it’s easily accessed from cities like Boston, yet it has its own unique coastal feel with tons of culture. I’m just starting to explore all that Providence has to offer, and so far I’m really impressed, especially with the food scene!
